Does income insecurity equate to life unhappiness?

Watching gravity and centripetal forces at work, I observe raindrops fall from above me, what we commonly call the sky, and ask why?

Why do we equate job/income insecurity with personal satisfaction?

What do we really need to live?

Who determines the standard of living?

Is “employment” a useful term anymore when automation tools replace scores of humans, leaving them leisure time to discover themselves no longer functioning like robotic workers, well-paid, poorly-paid or not paid at all?

What does life mean to a person in our global economy when labour is cheap and the flow of goods and services mostly unencumbered?

Do organisations by/for/of the people have any business redistributing wealth that lives out of reach?

When all is said and done, maximizing resources for space exploration/settlement prevails.
